Free trial — 30 days, unlimited properties, every feature, no card needed. Your free trial starts on the day you sign up and lasts 30 days, or 60 days if another Abide.Rent customer invited you.
Who this is for: letting agencies and landlords.

Plans: Solo, Portfolio and Scale, monthly or yearly.
What you are deciding
What to do when the free trial ends: subscribe to Portfolio, or stay on the free Solo plan.
Your options
- Subscribe to Portfolio. Portfolio is £8.99 a month, includes 3 properties. Then £2.00 per extra property, falling to £1.00 from the 21st. Yearly is £75.51 a year for the first 3 properties (30% off). Everything carries on as before.
- Stay on Solo. Solo is free for 1 property. You can read and export everything. A new rent review or notice needs a subscription or a one-off pack.
- Do nothing. Your account moves to Solo when the free trial ends. Nothing is deleted.
During the free trial
- Add as many properties and tenancies as you like: the free trial has no tenancy limit.
- Propose rent increases, generate notices and record service.
- Invite landlords, tenants and colleagues.
The days left are shown on your dashboard and on the plan page.
What never changes
- Nothing is deleted when a free trial ends.
- You can export your records at any time, on any plan.
- Anything attached to a served notice, a tribunal referral or a possession claim stays available to you.
- Tenant access is always free.
A worked example
An agency signs up on Thursday 1 October 2026 and adds 25 properties. Its free trial ends on Saturday 31 October 2026. If it subscribes, Portfolio for 25 properties is £47.99 a month, or £403.11 a year. If it does nothing, the account moves to Solo once the free trial has ended: all 25 properties stay readable and exportable, and a new rent review waits for a subscription or an increase pack at £29.00.
What Abide.Rent does for you
- Shows the days left on your dashboard, with reminders before the free trial ends.
- Moves the account to Solo on its own if you do not subscribe; you are not charged.
- Keeps every record, whichever plan you are on.
If something goes wrong
- “New rent reviews and notices need Portfolio or a one-off pack.”
What to do: The trial has ended and the account is on Solo. Subscribe to Portfolio under Billing, or buy a one-off pack. - The trial ended sooner than you expected
What to do: The trial runs from the day the account was created, not the day you first added properties. Check Billing.
Common mistakes
- Thinking a card is needed to start. It is not.
- Expecting records to be deleted at the end of the trial. They are kept.
- Leaving a rent review half done at the end of the trial. Finish it, or subscribe, so the notice can still be generated.
